MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi holds surprise check at Automated Driving Test Track and Online License Centre of transport department in Civil Lines
Warns staff to ensure that public doesn’t suffer
Ludhiana, March 28, 2022: Ludhiana (West) MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi carried out a surprise check at the Automated Driving Test Track & Online License Centre of transport department adjoining SCD Government College in Civil Lines, here today. On this occasion, he not only interacted with the applicants but also warned the staff to ensure that public does not suffer.
MLA Gogi said that for the last few days, he was receiving several complaints that the staff at the Automated Driving Test & Online License Centre is harassing the public on one pretext or the other. He said that when he personally visited the centre, several persons approached him and narrated their woes.
“I immediately contacted Secretary of Regional Transport Office to ensure that people do not suffer. All public servants are there to assist the common man and not to harass them,” the MLA said while adding that if the situation persists in future, he would be forced to take appropriate action against the concerned officials.
MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi also urged the residents to contact him at his office in case they have any issue and assured of all possible support. He said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government is fully committed for the welfare of people and any person/official harassing the common man would not be spared.
