MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi inaugurates start of construction work of “Rising Main Line” on Budha Nullah
Rising main line to carry waste water from Intermediate Pumping Station (IPS) to respective STP’s: MLA Gogi
Ludhiana, May 18, 2022: Ludhiana (West) MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi today inaugurated the start of construction work of “Rising Main Line” on Budha Nullah. This Rs 3.5 crore project is part of the Rs 650-crore Budha Nullah Rejuvenation project.
He was also accompanied by MC Commissioner Dr Shena Agarwal.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi informed that this project would prove very beneficial for the Rs 650-crore Budha Nullah Rejuvenation project. He said that this pipeline would be laid from Sabzi Mandi Pully till near Lord Mahavira College Intermediate Pumping Station (IPS).
He further informed that the goal of this project is to close all the outlets from where the domestic waste water entering into Budha Nullah, collecting and transferring the flow of these outlets to the nearby IPS to Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP).
The main purpose of rising main is to handling domestic sewerage by laying the pipeline along the bank of Buddha Dariya to carry waste water from Intermediate Pumping Station (IPS) to respective STP’s.
