MLA Mundian, MC Chief and Industry join hands for the facelift of Focal Point areas 

Ludhiana, February 23, 2024: With an aim to give a facelift to the Focal Point area, Sahnewal MLA Hardeep Singh Mundian, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sandeep Rishi and different industrial associations have joined hands.
 
Working on these lines, a meeting was held in Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) complex situated in Focal Point on Friday wherein positive discussions were held about the steps which can be taken to improve the conditions in Focal Point areas. 

MLA Hardeep Singh Mundian, MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, ACP Jasbinder Singh Khaira, concerned MC and PSIEC officials among others also participated in the meeting. 

The industrial associations were led by the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) complex. CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of Focal Point phase 4 SPV SC Ralhan, JS Bhogal, CICU General Secretary Honey Sethi, OP Bassi, Rajnish Ahuja, Rahul Ahuja, Rahul Verma among others were also present in the meeting. 

Apart from the ongoing projects to reconstruct the roads in Focal Point areas, discussions were also held regarding development of green belts, removal of encroachments by the industry/slum dwellers etc, street lights, solid waste management, increasing police patrolling etc. 

The authorities assured full support to the industry in dealing with the problems. Stating that different projects are already being taken up by MC and PSIEC to develop road infrastructure in Focal Point areas, MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi directed the concerned staff to commence a survey in the areas, so that required steps can be taken to further improve the situation at ground level. The officials further urged the industry to join hands with the authorities for the betterment of Focal Point areas. 
 
MLA Mundian also urged the industrialists to take a step forward and stop encroaching upon the areas outside their respective industrial units and rather develop those areas under CSR activities.

After the meeting, MLA Mundian, MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, Upkar Singh Ahuja (CMD of New Swan Multitech Ltd) among others also inaugurated a project to develop a green belt by New Swan Multitech Ltd under CSR activity in Dhandari area. The green belt is spread in around 2.5 acres.
   
MLA Mundian and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi also appealed to the industrialists to step forward and develop green belts in their respective areas so that combined efforts can be made to give a facelift to the Focal Point areas. CICU announced that they will also honour the industry/industrialists, which will develop the green belts in their respective areas.
