MLA Sidhu conducts meeting with MC officials regarding monsoon preparations and development works

Ludhiana, June 26, 2024: For making advance preparations to avoid water logging during the rainy season, Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu conducted a meeting with MC Joint Commissioner-cum-Zonal Commissioner (Zone C) Inderpal and other concerned officials regarding monsoon preparations at MC Zone C office on Wednesday. 

During the meeting, MLA Sidhu also directed the officials to expedite the development works being taken up in Atam Nagar constituency including the works to reconstruct roads, lay sewer lines etc. 

Further MLA Sidhu directed the concerned officials of operations and maintenance (O&M) cell to ensure that the sewer lines and road gullies should be cleaned before monsoon hits the city and sand bags should also be prepared in advance to tackle any kind of emergency situation.

MLA Sidhu further appealed the residents to stop dumping of waste in open areas as the waste chokes the sewer system which ultimately results in water logging.

MLA Sidhu said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led state government is committed for overall development and a large number of development works are being taken up in the Atam Nagar constituency. The officials have been directed to ensure that there is no compromise with the quality of works. Also, every effort is also being made to avoid water logging during the rainy season.
