MLAs Gurkirat Singh Kotli and Lakhbir Singh Lakha hold meeting with cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu
Urge the minister to restore cancelled atta-dal cards
Ludhiana: Khanna MLA Mr Gurkirat Singh Kotli and Payal MLA Mr Lakhbir Singh Lakha today met Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu and urged him to restore the cancelled Atta-Dal cards of Khanna and Payal constituencies.
During the meeting, Mr Kotli and Mr Lakha briefed Mr Ashu that during the scrutiny of cards by the Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, some cards of eligible beneficiaries were also cancelled by mistake. They urged the minister that the cancelled cards should be reviewed once again and their status should be restored. They said that once it is done, a large number of beneficiaries in these two constituencies would be benefitted. They said that they are committed to ensure that maximum number of people get benefit of government welfare schemes.
On this occasion, Mr Ashu assured both the MLAs that he would personally supervise this issue and he would ensure that cards of all eligible beneficiaries are restored.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Rupinder Singh Gill, Mr Jatinder Pathak, Nagar Council Khanna President Mr Vikas Vicky Mehta, Mr Neeraj Verma, besides others.
