Mobile app “HBMS Punjab” check status of vacant beds in private hospitals launched
App launched by Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Deputy Commissioner
Ludhiana: Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu today launched the mobile app “HBMS Punjab” through which residents can check real time status of vacant beds in both private and government hospitals. He was also accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, ADC (D) Mr Sandeep Kumar, Dr Bishav Mohan, besides several others.
Mr Ashu said that this mobile app is currently available only on google play store (for android phones) and in next couple of days, its iOS version would also be launched. He said that this mobile app would prove very beneficial for the residents as they would get to know about the situation of vacant beds before proceeding to any hospital for treatment.
He further said that for the welfare of residents, people can check the status of vacant beds on official web link ludhiana.nic.in/notice/covid-19-bed-status-in-ludhiana-district/ or hbmspunjab.in. He said that the list of all private hospitals offering Covid treatment have been added on the app as well as the web links.
He urged the residents to act responsibly and follow all government directions, wear masks at all time, maintain physical distancing and hand hygiene. He said that under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab government, 10 lakh masks would be distributed to the needy in Punjab, out of which 80000 masks would be distributed in district Ludhiana alone.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma also urged the residents not to panic and assist district administration in fighting Covid pandemic and break the chain. He said that the District Administration expects people to act responsibly in the larger of interest of society.
