Mock Parliament in Lyallpur Khalsa College
A mock parliament was organized by the Post Graduate Political Science Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar to acquaint the students with the working style of the Indian Parliament. Inaugurating the event, Principal Dr. Suman Chopra encouraged the students to use the knowledge gained from their subject in the social, political and personal spheres apart from academic knowledge.

Jalandhar, April 7, 2025: A mock parliament was organized by the Post Graduate Political Science Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar to acquaint the students with the working style of the Indian Parliament. Inaugurating the event, Principal Dr. Suman Chopra encouraged the students to use the knowledge gained from their subject in the social, political and personal spheres apart from academic knowledge.
During this program, the students played the roles of the ruling and opposition parties of the Parliament. There were a total of 42 participants in this program, many of whom played the role of the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Speaker, Finance Minister and cabinet ministers, Leader of the Opposition and elected representatives of various parties.
Among all the speakers, Sanjot Yogita, Kashika, Sirsa and Rohan Sharma were selected as the best speakers. These students were honored with mementos and certificates.
The department head Dr. Anu Kumari presented the vote of thanks. Prof. Satpal Singh played the role of judge in the program.
Present on the occasion were Vice-Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Sanjay Shad, Prof. Livpreet, heads of various departments, teachers and a large number of students.
