7 days FDP on “Modelling and Simulation of Engineering Systems” begins at IKGPTU
Jalandhar/Kapurthala, January 10, 2017: There is lot of opportunities in engineering to do every day fresh and new and yes there are problem factors too, which may act as barrier to initiate something new. But “Modelling Systems” techniques have great potential to solve complex engineering problems. These motivational words are delivered by Prof. (Dr.) A.K.Paul, Vice Chancellor of DAV University Jalandhar. He was delivering his speech at I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University Campus during the inaugural ceremony of seven days Faculty Development Programme on “Modelling and Simulation of Engineering Systems”. Dr. Paul presided over this event. Dr. Rajneesh Kant Sachdev, head of the department of food technology briefed the introduction of Prof. (Dr.) Paul.

University’s academic staff institute namely PITTTR (Punjab Institute of Technical Teachers taring and research) and department of Electrical Engineering main Campus jointly started this 7 Days faculty development programme under the guidance of Dr. N. P Singh, Dean Planning & Development which will be concluding on 15th January. There are 30 numbers of participants from throughout the region who are participating in this programme. The experts were drawn from IITs, Thapar University, PU Chandigarh, Central University, HP and senior faculty members of IKGPTU for this FDP.

Prof. Paul congratulated the organizers for the initiative which will help in improving the research skills of the participants and also motivate them to take up challenges. The coordinators of the programme Dr. Jaspreet Singh Chahal and Dr. Rakesh Goyal proposed the vote of thanks and assured the participants that this 7 days programme will be very helpful for them in enhancing their skills. Dr. B.P.Garg, registrar PITTTR, Prof. (Dr.) Avtar Singh Buttar, Prof. (Er.) Gagandeep Kaur were also present on this occasion.
