Mohali Industrial Economic Zone (MIEZ) is going to be a boon for building material traders who deal in marble, tiles, fancy lights, electrical & electronics, hardware, furniture, sanitary ware etc.
Chandigarh, Aug 2, 2022: Given the exponential growth of the real estate sector in and around Mohali, a well-connected, strategically located and affordable facility – Mohali Industrial Economic Zone (MIEZ) – is going to be a boon for building material traders who deal in marble, tiles, fancy lights, electrical & electronics, hardware, furniture, sanitary ware etc. Coming up on Banur -Tepla Road, and spread in over 250 acres of land – MIEZ offers what building material traders need the most – a hassle-free connectivity to highways, airport, and neighbouring cities of Panchkula, Chandigarh and Ambala, where a slew of residential and commercial construction going on.
There are 1284 projects registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority-Punjab (RERA-Punjab) as on July 1, 2022. “What qualifies MIEZ as a bright spot for building material business is its locational advantage, spacious planning, robust infrastructure, wide roads & a varied range of common facilities. It will be a big relief for us,” said Dharmender Singh, a contractor-builder based at Aerocity Mohali, working on a lot of commercial projects in the Industrial Area, Sector 82, Mohali.
Neeraj Kansal, MD, Royale Estate Group, promoter of MIEZ BTR said, "For traders dealing in marble, granites, tiles, furniture, sanitary, and other related items – MIEZ will be a one-point solution. At present, there is hardly any organized zone in tricity where one can find everything needed for constructing any project or property."
Currently there are different markets for different products at a number of locations; but MIEZ has the capability to offer all building material products under one roof. What's more, it's location is such that it will be accessible to a huge area where realty growth is taking place.

Piyush Kansal, a young director with REG said, “MIEZ is close to Aerocity, Metropolis Mohali, and the upcoming Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC). It has wide roads, efficient power supply, common effluent treatment, solid waste management, and other facilities."
Ashish Mittal, also a Director with REG, said that every buyer of a plot in the planned industrial zone will also get numerous benefits under the Ministry of MSME that entitle them for collateral free bank loans, one percent interest exemption on overdraft. In addition, a number of benefits can also be availed under the umbrella of invest Punjab.
What's more, the Punjab government is making all possible efforts to promote Greater Mohali as the second capital next to Chandigarh. Quality amenities are attracting people from Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and even from Leh to settle down in Greater Mohali, which has 73 Sectors. This will boost growth of real estate which in turn will give an impetus to the building material industry, making MIEZ an even more lucrative option for building material traders.
