More than 20,000 visitors visit 3-day light & sound show along with digital museum
Ludhiana, October 13, 2019: Dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a digital museum and a light and sound show ended amidst huge response from people, in the mela grounds of Punjab Agricultural University, here. The digital museum was set up from October 11 onwards, while two shows each of light & sound show were organised yesterday & today (October 12 & 13, 2019). During this three-day long mega event, more than 20,000 people attended the light & sound shows as well as the digital museum Today, the digital museum started amidst huge response from the people from across the state, while two shows of light & sound shows were also held. More than 2,600 people visited the digital museum from 6:30 am to 6 pm, whereas more than 5600 people witnessed the two light and sound shows today. It is pertinent to mention that on the first two days, i.e. October 11 & 12, 2019, more than 12,000 people visited the digital museum, which was a hit amongst the youth and especially children. The first light & sound show was attended by District & Sessions Judge Amritsar Mr Karamjit Singh Kang, District & Sessions Judge Ludhiana Mr Gurbir Singh, Additional Sessions Judge Mr PS Kaleka, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, ADC Jagraon Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta along with their families, Expenditure Observer for Dakha By-election Mr Arulanandan, besides several prominent personalities of the city. Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal thanked all the stakeholders for successful organising of this three-day mega event, in which people of Ludhiana were dyed in the hues of soulful events with the help of ultra modern shows. The first of its kind floating light and sound shows would be organised on October 23 and 24, 2019 near village Ladhowal (near toll plaza) on the banks of river Sutlej, here, and would be the centre of attraction for the people in this series. He also informed that entry for these shows is completely free of cost and urged the residents of district Ludhiana to attend these shows in large numbers along with their families. FLOATING LIGHT AND SOUND SHOWS: These shows will be held at the Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh and 10 districts of Punjab including Ropar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Moga, Kapurthala, Sri Amritsar Sahib, Tarn Taran and Ferozepur from where the Beas and Satluj rivers pass. 1. on 17th and 18 October in the Sutlej River near Ropar Headworks. 2. Similarly, on October 19 and 20, in Beas river near Terkiyana village of Hoshiarpur district, 3. October 23 and 24 in near Ladhowal in district Ludhiana on Sutlej river 4. Village Gandhowal in Hoshiarpur near Beas. 5. On 30 and 31 October it will be held at Jalandhar in village Dagara near Sutlej, 6. on November 1 and 2 in the Beas river near Kishanpur village of Gurdaspur district, 7. on November 3 and 4 in the Sutlej river near Chak Bahamian village in Moga district, 8. on November 5 and 6 in the village of Sri Hargobindpur, 9. on November 7 and 8 in village Ismailpur in Jalandhar near Sutlej river, 10. on November 10 and 11 in village Mund Kulla District Kapurthla near beas river, 11. on 14, 15 and 16 November at village Budha Theh near Beas river at Sri Amritsar Sahib, 12. on November 18 and 19 in the Sukhna Lake of Chandigarh, 13. on Nov 22 and 23 at Gaggewal village of District Tarn Taran 14. in Beas river near village Dhunda on November 26 and 27 15. on 29 and 30 November in Satluj at Hussainiwala lake in Ferozepur. 16. At Sultanpur Lodhi, main functions dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji would be organised at Sultanpur Lodhi from November 1-12, 2019 & the mega light & sound show would be organised there from November 4-12, 2019.
