MORE BIG NAMES join star cast of Zee TV's Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan!

Zee TV’s upcoming show Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan has already been in the news for awhile and the television industry has been rife with speculation about its star cast. The channel now confirms that it has roped in some of TV’s most well known faces for the show. After Sanjeeda Sheikh, it is now Additi Gupta, Kiran Karmakar, Abhinav Shukla and Mona Ambegaonkar who have been brought on board to essay various roles on the show.

Cast opposite Sanjeeda Sheikh in a parallel lead is the lovely Additi Gupta who makes a comeback to Zee TV after essaying the role of the ‘other woman’ in Sanjog Se Bani Sangini. Additi now plays the role of a meek and demure woman Nandini, who is submissive at the outset but has a tremendous strength of character.

“Yes, I will be playing the role of the dutiful wife this time around” says Additi with a laugh. “I think it was a karmic coincidence after having played the role of Pihu the ‘other woman’ in Sangini. As always it is an exciting prospect to be starting a new show. For the first time ever my fans will see me in a de-glam look sans heavy makeup, jewelry or costume.  This role is a challenge for me as I haven’t played anything like this before. People generally associate me with being bubbly and vivacious but this is very different from what I have done before. We are only in the initial stages of shooting but I have already shot for a few promos and I absolutely love the feel of the show. My character’s strength and quiet resilience is what made the role so appealing right from the start. I cannot wait to see the first look of the show. I am hoping for the best and expect that fans will like seeing this new side of me.”

Said Kiran Karmarkar with a laugh, “I play a deadly character, Balraj, in the show. Balraj is a scheming, conniving, opportunistic, cunning and a spiteful man. He can go to any lengths to achieve his ends. My mission will be accomplished the day I start receiving numerous hate mails from the viewers saying how much they hate Balraj..”

After much speculation about the lead actor, Abhinav Shukla has been finalized to play the role on the show. The show will premiere on Zee TV in March.
