More than 300 students acquainted about Modern Marketing Approaches at KMV
Dr. Zanete Garanti addresses the students during International Series (Commerce Chapter) at KMV
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has again taken lead in organising international series to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea focussed and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration, to make the students globally employable and to create awareness regarding contemporary issues. Keeping with the tradition, PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised webinar on “Modern Marketing Approaches” under the Commerce Chapter of International Series. More than 300 participants joined this webinar with full zeal & enthusiasm.
Dr. Zanete Garanti, Head, Research Centre, Associate Professor, School of Business, City Unity College, Nicosia, Cyprus was the resource person. She acquainted the students with the concept of modern marketing as technology- enabled marketing that requires innovation and creativity. She gave a new perspective of the 4Ps of marketing i.e. Place, Price, Promotion and Product, citing relevant illustrations, case studies, and real-life examples of the corporate world. She also highlighted the limitations of traditional marketing and introduced various contemporary concepts of marketing like Integrated Marketing Communication, Lifestyle Marketing, Value Co-Creation, Buzz Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Content Marketing & Guerrilla Marketing etc. Dr Garanti addressed all the queries of the inquisitive participants very aptly and appropriately. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that education today must respond to the global requirements and stressed on the need for such international series for updating the knowledge of students in the emerging fields. She also highlighted that the vision of the KMV is to nurture global citizens and the contribution and talk of the resource person will add value to it.
