More than 50,000 people get vaccinated in district till date: DC
4851 Senior Citizens and 1377 persons aged between 45-59 with co-morbidities get vaccinated for Covid19 vaccine in district Ludhiana since March 1
Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today informed that more than 50,000 persons have got vaccinated in the district till date. These include 21056 (first dose) and 13213 (second dose) healthcare workers, 9403 (first dose) and 113 (second dose) frontline workers, 4851 senior citizens (above 60 years) and 1377 aged between 45-59 (with co-morbidities).
He informed that a total of 50014 persons have got themselves vaccinated for Covid19 vaccine in various government and private hospitals in district Ludhiana ever since the vaccination have started.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the third phase of Covid19 vaccination started on March 1, 2021, in which senior citizens and those aged between 45 and 59 years (as on January 1, 2022) with co-morbidities are getting themselves vaccinated.
He informed that the vaccination is completely free of cost at government hospitals and centres, private establishments cannot charge more than Rs 250 for each beneficiary (per dose) which includes Rs 150 as cost of vaccine and upto Rs 100 service charges. Private hospitals cannot charge more than Rs 100 per person (per dose) for services, he said.
He informed that for the third phase of the vaccination drive, beneficiaries can do advance self-registration through COWIN.GOV.IN or they can also go for on-site registrations by walking-in at the designated hospitals and vaccination centres.
