‘MOSAIC-2024’ organized at Dev Samaj College for Women
The Annual-cum-Cultural Fest ‘MOSAIC-2024’ of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45-B, Chandigarh, took place in the college premises.
Chandigarh, March 9, 2024: The Annual-cum-Cultural Fest ‘MOSAIC-2024’ of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45-B, Chandigarh, took place in the college premises.
The Fest commenced with an inauguration ceremony graced by the chief guest Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations, Member Senate Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Member Dental Council of India. Shriman Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Dev Samaj College Managing Committee Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Member, Dev Samaj Council and Secretary, College Management Committee, and Maanvinder Singh Mangat, Chief Administrative Officer, Dev Samaj, attended as Guests’ of Honour. Prof. (Dr.) Neeru Malik, the Principal of the college, too was present. The chief guest applauded the college management, staff and students for organizing the mega event.
Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the afternoon. She visited the stall set up by the Election Literacy Club of the college and appealed to young voters that they should vote for strengthening the nation. She also offered financial support to college from the MPLADS fund. Dr. Vikram Nayyar, the Finance and Development Officer of Panjab University, joined as the Guest of Honour. The evening session was graced by Anand Mohan Sharan(IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana, and Dr. Nemi Chand Golia, NSS State Liaison Officer representing the UT Administration, Chandigarh.
Ankush was declared Mister Mosaic, the 1st runner-up was Lakshay and the 2nd runner-up was Harsidak Singh. Miss Mosaic winner was Rushali Walia, 1st runner-up was Shimona Kimta and 2nd runner-up was Naina Bhandari.
A highlight of MOSAIC 2024 was the captivating live singing performance by renowned artist Shivjot. MOSAIC 2024 saw a series of competitions and events, each designed to showcase the diverse talents of the participants. While ‘Mr. & Ms. MOSAIC’ showcased talent and charisma ‘Dare for Likes’ encouraged participants to push boundaries for online approval. ‘PowerPlay’ ignited competitive spirits with strategic games. ‘Tasveer’ celebrated artistic expression through photography, and ‘Petals of Positivity’ fostered kindness and encouragement. ‘Mask Mania’ allowed creativity to flourish in designing unique face masks. ‘Ad-Mad World’ tested marketing prowess, ‘Just a Minute’ demanded quick thinking and eloquence, and ‘Bollywood Mania’ brought the vibrancy of Indian cinema to life. ‘Dreams on CANVAS’ provided a platform for artistic storytelling.
Over 60 brands, including CakeUncle Academy of Pastry Arts, Hair Empires, IDP, Super Donuts, Torque, PU Pulse, Ivy Hospital, FATEH, Molekulaire, and Chandigarh Pollution Control, collaborated with the college, setting up stalls at the Fest. Various events and competitions were organized, welcoming participants from colleges across the Tri-City region.
The Fest witnessed a footfall of more than 4000 visitors, and will remain etched in the memory of the visitors for years to come.
