“Most of my time was devoted to rehearsals and performances”: Gopal Datt recalls his college days while discussing Amazon MX Player's Fisaddi
Mumbai, November 6, 2024: Amazon MX Player, Amazon's free video streaming service, recently released its bromance dramedy, Fisaddi. Since its premiere, this coming-of-age series has won viewers’ hearts and garnered widespread praise for its authentic storytelling and relatable characters. It follows the lives of two brothers, Goldie and Vimal, as they confront the challenges thrown at them by life, one day at a time. Goldie, a 'local legend', lives his vibrant college life until his younger brother, Vimal, enrols in the same university, leading to an unlikely rivalry that puts their bond to the test. Capturing the essence of sibling dynamics and personal growth, Fisaddi is brought to life by a talented cast, including Bhuvan Arora, Poojan Chhabra, Gopal Datt, Rajesh Jais, and Priyal Mahajan in pivotal roles.
Gopal Datt, who essays the role of PCA dada in the series, recalled his college days, sharing, "My college years were quite dramatic. While I was pursuing my B.Sc., I was also deeply passionate about theatre—two worlds that didn’t really intersect. I hardly attended classes; most of my time was devoted to rehearsals and performances. For me, college was all about embracing the joy of creativity and having fun rather than burying myself in textbooks."
Discussing the heart of the series, Gopal further noted, "Fisaddi is a beautifully crafted story that strikes the perfect balance between humor and heartfelt emotions. It’s a story that will evoke laughter and tears, all while teaching us the profound meaning of brotherhood.”
