Jalandhar, May 17, 2024: Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion briefed 650 cadets and students for getting Commission and recruitment as Agniveer in Indian Army.
Colonel Joshi said that there are 17 types of commissions in the Indian Army which provide employment opportunities to the youth from senior secondary to post graduate. The commanding officer encouraged the students to participate in sports, cultural activities along with the school curriculum. He emphasized on keeping a positive attitude in life.
The program started with an inspirational video about the National Defence Academy.
In his two-hour speech, Colonel Joshi briefed the cadets and students about the challenges faced by the Army as well as facilities available to soldiers. In his the speech, he asked the students to work hard to fulfil their dreams with positive thinking and determination in life.
Colonel Joshi shared 15 qualities of military leadership with the students. Colonel Joshi answered the questions of the students in detail.
The program ended with NCC song.
On this occasion, Ivy School Principal Sanjeev Chauhan, Vice Principal Amit Goyal, NCC Officer Lokesh Sharma, teachers, Indian Army officials and 650 NCC cadets and students were present.
