Motivational Lecture for Cadets of Sanik School Kapurthala
Jalandhar, August 11, 2024: Sainik School Kapurthala conducted a 2 hour motivational lecture for 250 cadets of class IX to XII. Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer 2 Punjab NCC Battalion met the Chief Guest Group Captain Madhu Sengar Principal and Wing Commander Deepika Rawat Vice Principal. He started the lecture with an inspirational video from NDA (National Defence Academy, Kharkwasala). Colonel Vinod Joshi discussed in detail about the different examinations of the Service Selection Board during the 5 days. He explained in detail about the four tests of psychology. He told the cadets about the important contribution of screening test. Nine types of ground tests which are conducted over two days are explained in detail. The personal information form plays an important role in the interview. Colonel Joshi said that NDA is the largest officer academy of the Indian Army in which 400 boys and 25 girls are selected every six months and they are awarded bachelor's degree after three years of rigorous training. After that, cadets are commissioned in the armed forces. He said that the objective of Sainik School is to recruit students for the NDA. Colonel Vinod Joshi said that there are 35 military schools across India which will increase to 100 in the coming years. The lecture ended with NCC song. The lecture was conducted by CHM Gurjit Singh and Havildar Gurdeep Singh.
