Ludhiana, September 25, 2023: The PAU College of Agriculture's Ballowal Saunkhri unit of the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle (GGSSC) organized an invigorating session titled 'You are Stronger than You Think' to uplift and inspire students and faculty members and help them explore the power of determination and positive thinking.

As the Chief Guest, Dr Sarabjeet Singh, Head of the Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages, and Culture, PAU, graced the occasion. He shared valuable insights with the students, stressing the importance of an active thought process and a positive attitude. His topic, "Surrounding oneself with a positive environment can lead to personal growth and salvation," said Dr Singh. He offered many quotes to shape one's attitude and highlighted the transformative power of viewing problems as opportunities.

Pratap Singh, a founding member of the PAU unit of GGSSC, introduced students to the organization's mission and its remarkable history of voluntary service across 19 states and 11 countries during its 51-year journey. He emphasized GGSSC's vision of inspiring and empowering a volunteer force to initiate a global social movement rooted in Sarbat Da Bhalla (Welfare For All) principles, as enshrined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He particularly emphasized that an individual endowed with discernment, good judgment, and discretion has the potential to be godly.

Jatinderpal Singh, another founding member of GGSSC, encapsulated the essence of the event and emphasized the significance of ethics and moral values among students. He focused on GGSSC's slogan, 'Think Globally, Act Locally.'

The session commenced with an inspiring opening speech by Dr Gurvinder Singh, Extension Scientist at Regional Research Station (RRS), Ballowal Saunkhri.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dean Dr Manmohanjit Singh, who emphasized the importance of preserving our rich heritage and culture, especially among the youth and students who are the backbone of our nation. He encouraged students to stay connected with their roots and heritage.

The session was expertly conducted by student volunteers of GGSSC, Davinderpal Singh and Hasreet Kaur, with support from teachers Anchal Kataria, Dr. Ravneet Kaur, and Ms. Puneet. The event culminated harmoniously with a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
