Motorcycle lifter gang busted

Ferozepur, September 29, 2012:  Within a week, the Ferozepur police have busted another motorcycle lifter gang at Guruharsahai and arrested two persons with recovery of 12 motorcycles.

Earlier, Ferozepur CIA Staff has arrested seven persons with 18 stolen motorcylces from their possession.

DSP (SD), Guruharsahai, Baljit Singh stated that under the supervision of SHO Harpal Singh, two persons have been arrested with 12 stolen motorcycles as per the movement started in Guruharsahai to nab the motorcycle lifters.

He further stated that as per the tip-off, Gurlal Singh, In-charge Police Post Golu Ka Mour alongwith the police party arrested two persons of Faridkot namely  Jaswant Singh alias Kala of Bholuwala Road and Jasdev Singh alias Babby of Arianwala, during the nakabadi at three-way passage at village Mohan Ke Uttar. 

As per the sources, most of the motorcylces have been stolen from Guruharsahai from banks and bus stand areas.  The gang allegedly used to sell these motorcycles by preparing the fake documents.  The police have taken the arrested on remand and started further investigation.
