MoU signed between GNA University and Radio City 91.9 FM
A MoU was signed between GNA University and Radio City, Jalandhar. The agreement was entered on behalf of GNA by Prof (Dr) R K Mahajan, Registrar, GNA University and by Sheema Soni, Station Head , Radio City , Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, May 16, 2022: A MoU was signed between GNA University and Radio City, Jalandhar. The agreement was entered on behalf of GNA by Prof (Dr) R K Mahajan, Registrar, GNA University and by Sheema Soni, Station Head , Radio City , Jalandhar. The main objective of the MOU is to engage students in practical based knowledge with special emphasis on strengthening the industrial-academic interface. It will develop suitable training modules in the areas which will ultimately help students in developing their radio skills. It will also provide faculties a better opportunity in knowledge exchange, industrial tour to students etc.
The MOU coverage is focused on the area, among others, improvement and development of students in radio know-how, exchange of information related to latest developments in radio industry.
The MOU mentioned that animation to be done for the Happy Pinky series by the Faculty of Animation and Multimedia students. Voice over for the animation will be provided by the Radio City Jalandhar 91.9 FM. Happy Pinky series will be promoted on YouTube, Facebook and other social media.
A workshop on radio was also organized for students in GNA University’s own community Radio Station 90.0 FM. The workshop was conducted by Sheema Soni and team of Radio City, Jalandhar. The workshop gave practical demonstration of a radio station.
The MOU was signed by Dr.R K Mahajan,Registrar,GNA University in the presence the Pro- Chancellor, GNA University Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics, GNA University, Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice- Chancellor, GNA University and Baljit Singh, HOD Faculty of Animation and Multimedia.
On the occasion Dr. Monika Hanspal said, “We have singed the MOU for educational exchange programs and many fruitful projects.” She also mentioned that the MOU will certainly be very productive and develop beneficial relationships with the Radio city.
Dr. V K Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor, GNA University said, “The MOU is a testimony to our commitment for the overall development of students.” He assures that GNA University will do whatever it can in order to provide a successful implementation of this MOU.
The Pro- Chancellor, GNA University Gurdeep Singh Sihra congratulated the Team and wished growing prospects in the impending future.
