Ludhiana, July 15, 2024: MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora along with MLA East Assembly Constituency Daljit Singh Grewal Bhola on Sunday visited Sundar Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Kakowal Road, Kali Sadak and other areas adjacent to the highway passing through the city.

In a statement here on Monday, Arora said the motive of the visit was to know about the difficulties being faces by the area residents with regard to traffic. He said most of the areas of East Assembly Constituency are adjacent to the highway. As a result, the area residents are facing manifold difficulties due to the heavy traffic. The area residents are seeking permanent solution to the problems related to vehicular traffic. The area residents face huge difficulty in crossing the road.

Arora said he would ensure that the area residents should not face any difficulty in crossing over the road. Presently, many untoward incidents occur during cross over the road by the area residents.

Further, Arora said a meeting will be held with senior officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in this regard in the coming days. He added he would suggest to construct the required bridges over the highway to ensure smooth cross of the road so that no mishap should occur.  A total of 4 such bridges with underpasses will be required.
