MP Arora discusses burning issues of city with MC & CA GLADA Sandeep Rishi
The development of missing link-II (Dhandra Road to Sidhwan Canal via Malerkotla Road), Ludhiana is getting delayed because concerned landlords are not giving possession to Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA), said MC Commissioner and GLADA Chief Administrator Sandeep Rishi to MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora.
Ludhiana, July 22, 2024: The development of missing link-II (Dhandra Road to Sidhwan Canal via Malerkotla Road), Ludhiana is getting delayed because concerned landlords are not giving possession to Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA), said MC Commissioner and GLADA Chief Administrator Sandeep Rishi to MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora.
In a statement here on Monday, Arora said he had met Sandeep Rishi recently. He added he was further apprised by Sandeep Rishi that GLADA is making every effort to get possession of lands for the missing link. He said Sandeep Rishi was hopeful that they would get possession of the lands soon after which the missing link would be completed.
Further, Arora said he also discussed about preventive measures required to check prevalence of dengue cases in the city. He added the Municipal Commissioner informed him that fogging has already been started across the city. Besides, a mass cleanliness drive is also going on to make ensure that the city is free from mosquitoes. Hopefully, we will have fewer dengue cases than before.
During this meeting, Arora also took up the issue of NOCs required for sale deeds of properties in the city. He said Sandeep Rishi apprised him that they have already done a lot to streamline the things & further improvements are being worked upon. Arora Said Sandeep Rishi assured him that the issue would be completed resolved and people would not get any kind of problem in the near future.
Arora said he also took up the issue of the carcass plant before Sandeep Rishi. He said Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana (MCL) had opened the carcass plant in January this year. However, the nearby villages started a protest to the opening of this plant on the plea that it would have adverse effects on health and environment in the surrounding areas. As a result, the plant is non-functional. Arora said MC Commissioner has assured him that some amicable solution would be worked out to run the plant and make city more environmentally friendly.
Ojasvi Alankar IAS, DTP Harneet Bajwa, STP Naval Kishor, Divisional Engineers Sandeep Sharma, Jitender Pal Singh, Yatender Singh and SE Naveen Kamboj were also present at the meeting.
