MP Arora donates Rs 10 lakh for Ludhiana Civil Hospital
On World Health Day, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora on Friday donated Rs 10 lakh for the purchase of various medical equipment in the local Civil hospital under Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) scheme.
Ludhiana, April 7, 2023: On World Health Day, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora on Friday donated Rs 10 lakh for the purchase of various medical equipment in the local Civil hospital under Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) scheme.
Divulging further details, Arora said that all efforts would be made to ensure world-class health facilities in the local civil hospital. He said that there would be no shortage of equipment in the hospital in the coming days as he has asked the concerned authorities to send a complete proposal for the required things so that funds can be released for the same.
The MP said that his government was committed to transforming the health sector and a revolution has already begun with the opening of more than 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics in the state. He said that lakhs of people availed free treatment and tests in these clinics.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik expressed gratitude and said that this generous contribution would go a long way to ensure quality healthcare services in the government health facility.
Also, Arora hoped that once equipment (Physiotherapy) & other equipment is procured and installed at Civil Hospital, Ludhiana then it will be highly useful for the patients. He said he was told that there was a dire need for this equipment in the local civil hospital. He opined that such equipment played a vital role in treating the patients.
Arora has also released a video-recorded message on World Health Day today for creating global health awareness among Ludhianvis. He added this day is celebrated every year on 7th April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization, as well as other related organizations. He spoke about the importance of health in his recorded message.
