Ludhiana, April 26, 2025: In a refreshing start to the day, a group yoga session was organised this morning at Ludhiana’s picturesque Rose Garden. The event, led by MP Sanjeev Arora, aimed to underscore the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being alongside the rigorous demands of the ongoing election campaign.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from several community members and yoga practitioners, including Arora’s daughter Ketki Arora and niece Dr. Sulabha Jindal, who actively took part in the practice. Addressing the gathering, Arora emphasised the increasing need to prioritise health, especially during hectic campaign periods.
Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency, stated, “Amidst the demands of public life and election responsibilities, it is vital not to neglect our health. Yoga connects us with ourselves and with nature — it brings balance, clarity, and strength. Through such initiatives, we aim to promote a culture of wellness and environmental consciousness in our society.”
He further added that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is proactively promoting yoga as a key to achieving both physical and mental wellness. He highlighted the government’s commitment to making yoga an integral part of daily life. In line with this vision, the state aims to turn the ‘CM Di Yogshala’ initiative into a mass movement, aligning with the Chief Minister’s dream of a healthier, progressive, and prosperous Punjab. Arora noted that the campaign is playing a crucial role in spreading awareness about the benefits of yoga and encouraging people to embrace it as a daily health practice.
Responding to demands from regular yoga practitioners, Arora assured the provision of ceiling fans and water coolers for the yoga shed at Rose Garden. He asked attendees to share specific requirements so that timely action could be taken. He added that these facilities would provide much-needed comfort during sessions, especially as summer temperatures continue to rise.
On the occasion, Arora also interacted with members of the Baba Khetrapal Birds and Nature Society. He praised the society for their dedication to environmental conservation and for encouraging the practice of yoga. Arora noted that regular yoga practice not only enhances physical health and mental clarity but also fosters inner peace, discipline, and a deeper connection with nature and community.
