MP Arora’s family members donate machine to Ophthalmology Department of Civil Hospital

The family members of MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora donated a machine worth Rs.9 lakh to Ophthalmology Department of Civil Hospital here on Thursday.

Ludhiana, November 21, 2024: The family members of MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora donated a machine worth Rs.9 lakh to Ophthalmology Department of Civil Hospital here on Thursday.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Pardeep Kumar and Senior Medical Officer Dr. Harpreet Singh were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pardeep Kumar lauded initiative of donating the machine by MP Arora’s family members namely his nephew Rijul Arora and Rijul Arora’s sister-in-law (Bhabhi) Sakshi Arora wife of Ritesh Arora (CMD, Ritesh International Ltd) and Rijul’s wife Yashna Arora. He said there was a dire need of installing this kind of machine in the hospital premises, adding that the machine would serve around 60-70 eye patients on daily basis. 

Civil Surgeon Dr. Pardeep Kumar highly thanked for donating the machine to Ophthalmology Department of Civil Hospital. He said MP Arora’s family members have further assured them to provide any kind of assistance for the civil hospital if required in the future also. He added MP Arora’s family members have even assured to replace or repair any part of the machine, if needed, in the future. He hoped that the patients suffering from eye ailments would be benefitted a lot with installation of the new machine. 

In his brief address, Rijul Arora said they have donated the machine after getting an advice and inspiration from their uncle MP Arora. He hoped that the machine would serve the eye patients of Ludhiana city up to maximum extent. He along with other family members present there also witnessed the machine being used to examine the eye patients at Ophthalmology Department of the Civil Hospital. 

It may be mentioned here that MP Arora is already carrying out work of upgradation of Civil Hospital, Ludhiana with CSR and MPLAD Funds, with a view to transforming the hospital into a facility with standards comparable to any better private hospital in the city.
