MP Deepender Hooda accuses BJP government of ignoring Haryana in budget

Bahadurgarh, August 10, 2024. MP Deepender Hooda accused the BJP government at the Center of ignoring Haryana in the budget and said Haryana got the lowest budget among 28 states, whether it is the railway budget or the sports budget.

Citing official data, Deepender said the central government is collecting Rs 7 in GST from Haryana and giving only Rs 1 back to the state, which is the lowest in the entire country and is a grave injustice to Haryana.

“If seen on a per capita basis, Haryana is getting the lowest, Rs 6938 among 29 states. Whereas, Arunachal Pardesh is getting Rs 140000 and Goa which is equal to one district of Haryana is getting Rs 40000,” he said.  He said that people will forget to vote for the BJP government which has forgotten Haryana while giving the budget.

Deepender today took out a pad-yatra from the railway station to Kath Mandi, Railway Road Main Bazaar, Kila Mohalla in Bahadurgarh Vidhan Sabha constituency under the Haryana Maange Hisaab Abhiyan. During the yatra, MLA Rajendra Joon and MLA Geeta Bhukkal accompanied him.

Talking about the injustice towards Haryana, he said no one is listening to Haryana  in Delhi and no one cares about the state, and yet the state BJP government is praising the central government. Deepender said that out of Rs 2200 crores in this year's Khelo India budget, only Rs 65 crores were given to Haryana. Whereas, more than 500 crores were given to states like Gujarat and UP. “Out of the 6 medals of the country in the Olympics, 5 medals were won by players from Haryana, while 21% of the players participating in the Olympics are from Haryana. In the last 4 Olympics, Asian and Commonwealth Games, 40% to 50% medals for the country were won by players from Haryana,” he pointed out.

Raising the issue of the plight of Bahadurgarh city, Deepender said there is no sanitation system here, nor are the roads in good condition. “We had heard of potholes in the roads, but people are saying that ponds have formed on the roads,” he said. “The government has entangled people in property ID and portal. People in the village told him that the pension of the elderly was cut by showing them as deceased. A wall was built in front of the shops in the vegetable market. There are no doctors in the hospitals, schools were closed. Not even a single pillar of the metro was built in front of Sakhol village in 10 years,” he said.

Deepender questioned what is the BJP government trying to avenge by discriminating and doing injustice to Haryana? He said the BJP government in Haryana has only 30 days left. The announcements made by the BJP government in the last month are a confession that it did not do any work in 10 years. “If the government had worked, it would have asked for votes in the name of its work,” he said.

He said that the BJP government has made Haryana number 1 in unemployment, drug addiction, crime, inflation, corruption. “The statistics of the Government of India show that criminals are roaming freely in Haryana. Even before 2004, big gangs were operating and ransoms were demanded, but the Hooda government of Congress had wiped out criminals from the state,” he said.

Deepender warned the criminals that only 30 days of BJP government is left in the state and once the Congress government comes, the criminals will have to flee from the state once again.
