Rohtak, October 3, 2024 Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda launched a whirlwind campaign tour on Thursday, the last day of the election campaign as he addressed election rallies in 8 Vidhan Sabha segments, from the Himachal border to the Rajasthan border. He said people of the state had made up their mind to vote for change in the state.

MP Deepender Hooda today addressed a huge election rally organized in village Sunariya in support of Congress candidate Shakuntala Khatak from Kalanaur assembly and appealed to make her victorious.

Today, on the last day of election campaign, MP Deepender Hooda sought votes for Renu Bala, Congress candidate from Sadhaura, Akram Khan from Jagadhri, Pradeep Chaudhary from Kalka, Jassi Petwad from Narnaund, Bharat Singh Beniwal from Ellenabad, Rajbir Singh Fartiya from Loharu, Congress candidate Somveer Singh Sheoran from Badhra, Shakuntala Khatak from Kalanaur, Pearl Chaudhary from Pataudi.

Appealing to make Congress candidates win with a big majority, he said that after October 8, Congress government is coming in the state and BJP is going. He said that big BJP leaders from Delhi are coming to Haryana only to seek votes, none of them is telling about the 10 years of work of the BJP government.

Deepender Hooda appealed to dismiss the BJP government which crushed the farmers under the jeep and attacked Baba Saheb's Constitution and said that yesterday only the BJP government made the gas cylinder costlier by Rs 50, and today the DAP sack costlier by Rs 150. “This is the same BJP which is saying that cylinders will be given for Rs 500 that after the elections. One should not be deceived by such parties,” he said.

MP Deepender Hooda said the hour of decision has come and the whole country is looking towards Haryana. He asked people to be cautious of BJP and BJP's B-team, C-team vote-cutter parties and independent candidates and said that BJP has once again hatched a conspiracy to betray the voters and mislead people.

“Many vote-cutter parties like BJP, JJP, INLD, HLP and independent candidates are in the election fray at the behest of BJP. Every vote given to them will go to BJP's account. JJP, which asked for votes against BJP in 2019, supported BJP the next day, but if INLD had got 10 seats, it would have supported it at that time instead of waiting for the next day,” he stated.

Deepender Hooda announced that when the Congress government comes to power, women will be given LPG cylinders for Rs 500, and Rs 2,000 would be given through the Mahalakshmi scheme. To strengthen social security, elderly, disabled and widows will be given pension of Rs 6000.

He also promised that the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) will be restored for employees. Under the recruitment schedule, 2 lakh youths will be recruited on a permanent basis. We will make Haryana drug free. To make every family prosperous, we will provide 300 units of free electricity and free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh.

Deepender said farmers will be given MSP and maximum price guarantee and immediate compensation for crop loss. Poor families will be given free plots of 100 yards each under the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana and 2 room houses at the cost of Rs 3.5 lakh through the Indira Awas Yojana.  He added that caste census will be conducted and the creamy layer income limit of backward classes will be increased to Rs 10 lakh.
