MP  Deepender Hooda says it's necessary to defeat BJP to end the rampant corruption in the corporations

Rohtak, February 28, 2025: MP Deepender Hooda today addressed election public meetings in support of Congress mayor candidate Surajmal Kiloi and councilor candidates in ward number 10, ward number 4, ward number 19, ward number 20 and also did a road show from Dairy Mohalla to Rainakpura.

He said that the triple engine of corruption of BJP is committing scam after scam. Deepender blamed the corruption prevailing in the Municipal Corporation and the Amrit Yojana scam of Rs 350 crore for the poor condition of basic facilities in Rohtak and said that the former BJP MP and minister in the current government himself had claimed that the Rs 350 crore of Amrit Yojana in Rohtak, which was to be used for the maintenance of Rohtak's sewerage system, drinking water supply, drainage and parks, fell prey to the scam.

He said scamsters laid pipes all over the city to earn commission, but there is no water in those pipes. Not only this, in Rohtak, people are neither getting clean drinking water nor relief from garbage all over. He said that the people of Rohtak will teach a befitting lesson to those who embezzled Rs 350 crore of Amrit Yojana. “There was open looting in the Municipal Corporations by promoting huge corruption. The government has neither conducted any investigation in any case till date, nor taken any action against the culprits. On the contrary, they kept trying to save the scamsters and suppress the scam reports,” the Rohtak MP said.

He said there was a triple engine government earlier also. The work of the smallest engine was to loot and the work of the two upper engines was to give protection. “It is necessary to defeat the BJP to end the rampant corruption prevailing in the municipal corporations,” he said. Deepender said that during the Congress' Hooda government, Rohtak emerged on the map of development as a metropolis, but in the last 10 years, it has gone off the track of development. “No new development work has been done here. The infrastructure that was built during the Congress' Hooda government has been ruined by the BJP government in the last 10 years,” he said. “The problem of dirty water has been continuing for the last several years. As soon as the summer season arrives, this problem takes a terrible form. The BJP government has also failed to provide clean water to the people. There is looting in the name of property ID. Property taxes of lakhs of rupees have been imposed on people. The poor condition of the roads is not hidden from anyone,” he said. On this occasion, MLA BB Batra, MLA Shakuntala Khatak, MLA Balram Dangi, Mayor candidate Surajmal Kiloi, senior party leader Chakravarti Sharma and a large number of local dignitaries were present.
