Rewari/Jhajjar, June 15, 2024: MP Deepender Hooda today started his tour to thank voters for their support from the Kosli assembly constituency, and addressed the workers' conference.
Later, while addressing the workers of Jhajjar and Badli, Deepender said he was deeply thankful to the voters for making him win in all the 9 Vidhan Sabha segments in the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency. He thanked voters for breaking the arrogance of BJP, strengthening the democracy of the country and protecting Baba Saheb's Constitution.
He expressed gratitude for the unprecedented support and blessings from Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency. He said the blessings given by the people will not go in vain and after 3 months, Congress will form the government in Haryana.
“The public has given moral strength to India Alliance by creating balance in the politics of the country by providing a strong opposition. “Today, even though BJP has the numerical strength, the public sentiment is with us,” he said.
Deepender said generations of his family have been related to this area and his family has always received blessings from here. “This time also, the blessings and trust shown by all communities from here, and I will uphold this till my last breath,” he said.
Talking about the election results, he said the people of Haryana have given a historic mandate in favour of the Congress in this Lok Sabha election. “The Congress alliance got the highest vote percentage of 47.6% in Haryana, compared to all the 28 states, and the vote percentage also increased the most in Haryana as compared to other states by 19.2% as compared to 2019,” he said.
He said while Congress won 5 seats in all the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies, there was a tremendous increase in votes and there was a tremendous decline in the BJP vote. He said there was a record increase in the vote percentage of Congress in all the constituencies, while BJP’s vote decreased in every seat, and added that the people of Haryana have given a clear indication of change.
Deepender said Haryana, which was at the forefront of development before 2014, has now become the leader in negative indicators. “Every section of the society has been insulted in the BJP government, every section is unhappy with this government and has made up its mind for a change,” he said.
He said the BJP government has caused the biggest loss to South Haryana by bringing the Agneepath scheme. “Earlier, 5500 soldiers were recruited on permanent basis in the Army every year, but now 900 Agniveers are being recruited every year, out of which only about 225 Agniveers will be permanent after 4 years,” he said.
He announced now the Opposition is strong and will fight for the abolition of the Agniveer scheme, and for permanent recruitment in the Army, as before. Along with this, he talked about fighting for the formation of the Ahir Regiment.
Deepender said when the Congress government is formed in Haryana, he will get the demand for the formation of the Ahir Regiment passed from the Legislative Assembly and send it to the Central Government. He reiterated his promises and said that the regional centre of Lula Ahir, which the BJP government tried to demolish, will be converted into a university. He said the BJP government did not give a university, let alone a new college or school, for 10 years,” he said.
Speaking on the issue of employment for the youth, the Congress MP said in the last 10 years, no industrial area was set up in the whole of Haryana. “This is the reason why Haryana has the highest unemployment in the country. As soon as the Congress party forms the government in Haryana, we will work to create an industrial area in Kosli on the lines of IMT Manesar,” he said.
He said assembly elections will be held in the state after 2 months, and the Congress government will be formed in Haryana after the elections. “Whatever has remained lacking in the matter of development in 10 years, we will work to make up for it, with interest,” he promised.
Deepender Hooda, while explaining the resolutions of the Congress party, said the pension of the elderly will be Rs. 6000 after the formation of the Congress government. “We will re-launch the scheme for free plots of 100 yards for SC, BC and poor families, and those who need a house will be given a 2-room house under the Indira Awas Yojna at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh,” he said.
“30 lakh government jobs in the Central Government and 2 lakh government jobs in Haryana have been kept vacant. On forming the government in Haryana, we will make permanent recruitment on the vacant posts on the basis of merit, reservation and pension. We will give MSP guarantee to farmers, old pension to employees and will form a government which listens to every section,” he promised.
