MP Sandeep Pathak promise to develop this border district as world class tourist spot
Announce to give his entire MPLAD Fund for various development projects of the district
Ferozepur, June 2, 2023: During his visit to this border district, Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak said that no effort will be spared to develop this border district as a tourist spot and to bring this area on international tourist map. The RS MP during his visit today, also announced to give his entire MPLAD Fund for the various development projects of the district.
The MP said that this border district has immense potential to emerge as a world class tourist spot and to attract the visitors. While addressing a function organized by District Red Cross for distribution of electric tricycles, wheel chairs and artificial limbs to the needy, Pathak said that keeping in view the historical importance of this ancient city , he would soon meet the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for the overall development of the city in a planned manner.
During the function 90 electrical cycles , 61 wheelchairs, tricycles were distributed to the needy ones by the Red Cross Organization. It is pertinent to mention here that MP Pathak provided Rs. 10 Lakh from his MPLAD fund for the distribution of these tricycles, wheel chairs etc.
To provide a larger sense of security amongst citizens , the MP also announced that CCTVs will be installed at important points in the city, followed by covering the whole district in phased manner .
DC Rajesh Dhiman informed the MP that the 'Har Gaon Ek Khel Maidan' campaign was launched by the CM Mann from Ferozepur under which playgrounds have been made in 125 villages and more than 500 villages would witnessed such playgrounds. Besides, a state of art sports complex to be built at Ferozepur to channelise the energy of youth in a positive way .
On this occasion, MLA Ferozepur City Ranbir Singh Bhullar hailed the MP for his decision to select the Ferozepur district for development. MLA Ferozepur (Rural ) Rajnish Dahiya in his address apprised MP Pathak about the development works in the constituency. MLAs Fauja Singh Sarari and Naresh Kataria also shared their views on this occasion.
Earlier, a contingent of Punjab police presented a guard of honour to the Rajya Sabha MP. The MP along with MLAs and others also paid obeisance at Shaheedi Smarak Hussainiwala and paid floral tributes to the national martyrs.
