MP Sanjeev Arora announces major boost for Road & Sports infrastructure of Ludhiana
Moving forward with the series of development works, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora announced that roads and sports infrastructure will get a major boost in the city and all the major roads/streets across the city would be repaired/revamped by March end.

Ludhiana, March 11, 2025: Moving forward with the series of development works, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora announced that roads and sports infrastructure will get a major boost in the city and all the major roads/streets across the city would be repaired/revamped by March end.
Addressing a press conference in this regard at Municipal Corporation's (MC) Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Tuesday, Rajya Sabha MP Arora stated that quality sports infrastructure is also being established in the city to inculcate sports culture among the youth. Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal were also present on the occasion.
Divulging details, MP Arora said that proper road markings with thermoplastic paint would also be done and the authorities have been directed to ensure that there is no compromise with the quality of the works.
Speaking of the sports infrastructure, MP Arora stated that projects worth crores are being taken up to develop quality sports facilities for residents. These include projects to establish basketball court at Guru Nanak stadium, Table tennis courts near Rakh Bagh, all weather swimming pool near Rakh Bagh, badminton courts among other projects.
MP Arora said that steps have also been taken to run the indoor stadium on Pakhowal road properly. New power connection, LED screens among other steps are being taken to ensure that the infrastructure could be used properly. The process to apply for holding sports or any other events at the facility has also been streamlined.
Rajya Sabha MP Arora said that Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government is committed for overall development of the state and quality infrastructure is being developed to facilitate the residents in every way. The authorities have been directed to keep a proper check on the quality of the works and a third party audit of road construction works is also being done.
