MP Sanjeev Arora Inaugurates 18th Sub Junior National Soft Tennis Championship in Ludhiana
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora inaugurated the 18th Sub Junior National Soft Tennis Championship-2025 (Boys and Girls) at AIPL Dream City on Thursday.

Ludhiana, March 27, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora inaugurated the 18th Sub Junior National Soft Tennis Championship-2025 (Boys and Girls) at AIPL Dream City on Thursday.
In his inaugural address, Arora congratulated the organizers and participating players, expressing appreciation for the participation of 600 athletes from 28 states.
Emphasizing the importance of sports, Arora stated that engaging youth in athletic activities helps prevent them from falling into anti-social behaviour, including drug abuse. He highlighted that sports contribute not only to physical fitness but also to overall personality development and serve as a source of entertainment.
Arora also noted the growing popularity of soft tennis, which is often overshadowed by mainstream sports such as cricket, badminton, and football. He commended AIPL for providing the sports ground for the event and announced a personal grant of ₹5 lakh for the Soft Tennis Association Punjab.
President Soft Tennis Association Punjab Anumit Singh Heera Sodhi, Organising Committee Chairman Albert Dua, Former MLA Jagtar Singh, General secretary Soft Tennis Association Punjab and Director APIL Dreamcity Shamsheer Singh, Vice President Harpreet Sandhu, Members Sanjay Jain and Rakesh Kumar, Chairman Sandeep Sharma and Vasu Dua were present on the occasion.
