MP takes stock of isolation wards and beds in civil hospital

Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Ravneet Singh Bittu on Tuesday visited the Civil Hospital Ludhiana and took stock of the isolation wards and beds there.

After holding a meeting with the officials in Civil Hospital, Bittu inspected isolation wards and all essential equipment being used for the treatment of the Covid patients. MP talked with the medical staff and appreciated their dedication and hard work towards the society in the pandemic.

Showing complete satisfaction over arrangements made in hospital, MP said that private hospitals had already set up special isolation wards in their respective premises, to contain the current unprecedented hike in the Covid cases.

MP said that there was absolutely no need of any panic, and said Punjab Government was better prepared to deal pandemic and pulling out all stops to tackle the second wave.

He said that the Corona Virus had emerged as a major global threat adding that prevention was the only way to keep this contagion at a bay.

He also asked drug department to keep check over the alleged hoarding of oxygen and other essential drugs and said this will be dealt with a heavy hand and the perpetrators of this heinous crime must be brought to book.

He appealed to people to follow the protocols including wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and adopting hand hygiene and guidelines issued by the government to keep the virus spread under check.
