MSP on farmers' crops was earlier, is now and will continue in future too: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal
Says government is committed to procure every grain of farmers from mandis
Faridkot: The National Farmer Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal has made it clear to the farmers of Punjab that the MSP on farmers' crops was earlier, is now and will continue in the future as well. He said that the grain markets would work as usual and the government was committed to procure every grain of the farmers from the mandis as per the existing system.
Addressing a press conference in Faridkot today, National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Jammu and Kashmir Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had said the same lie in Punjab to end drug addiction, forgive debt. Now speaking in the name of MSP, we are meeting with the farmers. In this, the Aam Aadmi Party President, Member of Parliament and Comedian Bhagwant Mann is giving respect and misleading the farmers of Punjab, in which he will never succeed. He told Bhagwant Mann that everything goes on in comedy, but in reality neither Kulfi was hot, nor is it ever nor will it be. Grewal said that it tried sincerely to raise the standard of life of farmers and their families. Has gone, so they should also support the truth.
Grewal said that three ordinances were recently issued - various production trade and commerce (promotion and facilitation) ordinances, diversity (empowerment and protection) agreement on price assurance and agricultural service ordinance, and essential commodities (amendment) ordinances. He said the new ordinances would prove to be game changers, adding that the reforms would provide a level playing field to farmers.
Grewal said that with these improvements, they can sell their product wherever they want. Earlier, farmers were forced to sell their produce to license holders at state government facilities. Under this process, farmers were being cheated because they were not getting a fair price for their produce.
He said that now the farmer of Faridkot can sell his produce in Mumbai, Kolkata as the farmers can go to the inter-state without paying taxes.
Grewal said that on the lines of crops, electricity should be given to the consumer at the same cost in the country, so the Electricity Act by the Government of India will be applicable in the entire country, including the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This Electricity Act also provides that cross-border trade shall include import or export of electricity from India and any other country. Connected transactions with the passage of electricity through India will be considered as transport between two other countries.
Grewal appealed to the farmers of Punjab, they should not pay any attention to the propaganda of the Congress government of the state and the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the government of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Center and the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, had promised to double the income of the farmers, they are being fulfilled and surely the income of the farmers will be doubled. He was accompanied by Vijay Chhabra District President Bharatiya Janata Party Faridkot, Gagan Sukhija District General Secretary, Rajesh Sethi Bobby Mandal President, Bhushan Bansal District Cashier and Rakesh Sharma District Media Incharge.
