Multi cuisine cooking Skill Development Certificate Course held in Doaba College
Jalandhar, July 7, 2022: PG Department of Tourism and Hotel Management organized 15 day skill development value added course on “Multi cuisine cooking” for 10+2 students of various schools .
Principal Dr Pardeep Bhandari said that Students were taught about various regional and International cuisines practical’s and aspects related to process of pre- preparation, preparation and the storing techniques of processed food and raw food material.Dr Bhandari said that during past 13 years the tachers of the department have been giving hands on practical training to students to prepare professionally multi cuisines in food production lab which has helped dtudents to secure plabcements in hotel and tourism industry in India and abroad.
Prof. Rajesh Kumar discussed various concepts in menu planning, cooking, safety, and nutrition values. He also demonstrated varied meal components viz including soups, fish, pasta, sauces, meats, and grains, salads, and desserts and shared valuable tips about the professional cooking with the student of hotel management. In these cooking classes, Prof. Varun Mahajan and Lab Tech. Harprit discussed about the emerging and fast developing segment of the food business
