Musical maestros, Pankaj Udhas and Gulzar, join hands for the first time to offer timeless melodies on Hungama Music

Known for their poetic compositions and soulful melodies, the two legends of the Indian music industry will soon launch a new album consisting of 6 poignant romantic ghazals. To be launched on Hungama Music, the album will be the first collaboration between Pankaj Udhas and Gulzar and will mesmerize the listeners with its poetry, romance and contemporary sounds.

Speaking about his upcoming album, Pankaj Udhas said, “An immersive art form, ghazals have the ability to transport listeners to a magical world. Over the past few years, I have seen a tremendous appreciation for ghazals and meaningful music amongst the younger generation. Gulzar Sahab and my new album contains songs that are sure to win the hearts of the young and old alike. I have admired Gulzar Sahab’s work since he wrote ‘More Gora Rang’ in the film, ‘Bandini’. I am glad to collaborate with Gulzar Sahab and Hungama Music and offer the listeners a completely fresh take on love and ghazals.”

The upcoming album will feature ghazals that have been penned by Gulzar, composed and rendered by Pankaj Udhas. Expected to launch in the first week of December on Hungama Music, the album’s name and song titles are expected to be revealed soon.
