Chandigarh, May 15, 2022: Under the workshop series MythArche: Transfusing NexGen Perspective, second workshop in series was held at Laxmi Bai Hall, Girls Hostel 2, Paniab University, Chandigarh to dismantle the taboo associated with menstruation and advocate the use of cloth-based, reusable, eco-friendly sanity napkins, developed by Versatile Group, Ludhiana, in association with Enactus Team and Developing Indigenous Resources, India, conveyed Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor, Enactus PU.
Prof. Jagtar Singh (DSW Men), Prof. Meena Sharma (DSW Women), Prof. Ashok Kumar (Associate DSW), Dr. Rupinder Kaur (CMO, PU), Prof. Amrit Pal Toor ( Chairperson,Dr. SSBUICET, PU), Faculty of Panjab University graced the occasion with their benign presence. Other participants included University Drama Teal of Paniab University, hostel residents, and Enactus team members.
The 1-hour long event included an address by Prof. Jagtar, followed by Prof. Meena and Prof. Ashok. Dr.Rupinder, Chief Medical Officer of PU informed how girls and young women come to her everyday regarding menstrual health concerns and how there is an absolute requirement to be vocal about these issues.
The theatrical performance by University Drama Team spell bound the audience and conveyed the sensitivity of the cause, which was very well appreciated by one and all.
The Deans appreciated the organizing team for the event for beautifully delivering the message of green menstruation and felicitated the Panjab University Drama Team, headed by Hargobind.
Dr. Harjit Kaur, Warden GH-2, and faculty of Dr. SSBUICET, presented the vote of thanks.
