Names of 22 polling stations changed, 11 shifted to other buildings in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, April 21, 2024: With the approval of the Election Commission of India, the names of 22 polling stations have been changed due to modification of polling stations' nomenclature in different legislative assembly segments. 

Further, 11 polling stations have also been shifted to new buildings due to many reasons besides two auxiliary polling stations have also been established in various constituencies. 

Change in the name of buildings consist of PSs due to nomenclature modifications *(No Change in Location)

In Samrala Assembly Constituency (AC), the name of the building of one polling station (PS) in Government Middle School Khatra has been changed to Government High School Khatra, the building's name of one PS in Government Primary School Bomb has been changed to Shaheed Karnail Singh Government Primary School, Bomb. 
In Sahnewal AC, the name of the building consists of four polling stations (PSs) in Sunrise Vidya Mandir School, Sarpanch Colony, Kuliewal has been changed to Sunrise Convent Senior Secondary School, Sarpanch Colony, Jamalpur (Kuliewal). 
In Ludhiana central AC, the name of the building of the one PS in Government Middle School, Saidan Mohalla, Brahmpuri has been changed to Government High Smart School, one PS in building of Sanatan Dharam Girls Higher Secondary School, Mohalla Vakilan to Sanatan Dharam Girls Senior Secondary School, two PSs in building of Government High School , Primary Section, Madhopuri to Government Primary Smart School , three PSs in the building of Arya Girls Higher Secondary to Arya Girls Senior Secondary school, two PSs in the building of Rai Sahib Jugal Kishore Model School Katra Nohria to Rai Sahib Jugal Kishore Dharam Middle School, two PSs in MC building new office to MC New building Zone-A , three PSs in the building of Bir Haqiqat Rai High School Gaushala road to Veer Haqiqat Public Senior Secondary School and two PSs in the building of National Public School, 299 Industrial Area to National Middle School. 

Shifed Polling Stations
In Ludhiana Central AC, one PS in Government Elementary School, Dharampura has been shifted to Sri Guru Ravidass Dharamshala, Dharampura, two PSs in Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) to Government Primary School Police Division -3, one PS in Senior Citizen Home, Near Suhani Building Chowk to Khalsa National Higher Secondary School (Brown road) Ludhiana and two PSs in Jain Public School to Jain Public Senior secondary School. 
In Sahnewal AC, three PSs in Child Heart Day Boarding School, Mundia Kalan have been shifted to Kartar Convent School , Prince Colony, Mundian Kalan, two PSs in Shri Guru Ravidass Dharamshala ,Nandpur have been moved to Government Elementary School, Nandpur and Community Centre Dehlon Road Nandpur .

Auxiliary Polling Stations 
Two auxiliary polling stations have been established at the polling stations where the count of voters exceeds 1500. One PS in  Government Senior Secondary School, Dhandari Khurd (Sahnewal) and the other in Government High School (elementary section) in Lohara (Ludhiana South). The auxiliary station in Government Senior Secondary School, Dhandari Khurd has been established for voters residing in New Durga Colony and Dhandrai Khurd, while the auxiliary station in Government High School , Lohara will be established for voters residing in Karamjit Nagar, Mukhtiar Nagar, Suman HERO Nagar and Astha colony.
