National Cancer Survivors Day- DMCH Cancer Care Centre organised cycle rally
The rally was flagged off by Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu to spread awareness on early detection
Ludhiana, June 5, 2022: This Sunday early morning in order to spread awareness on early detection on cancer, DMCH Cancer Care Centre In collaboration with American Oncology Institute Ludhiana organised a Cyclothon of 5-Km within the city. More than 150 participants including attendants of cancer survivors took part in this good cause.
The event was flagged of by Mayor of Ludhiana Balkar Singh Sandhu, D S Chawla, President, United cycle and Parts Manufacturing Association (UCPMA). The rally started from DMCH Cancer Care Centre and paved through Rose Garden, Fountain Chowk, Dandi Swami Chowk, coming back to DMC.
The Cyclothon was supported by Ludhiana Peddlers Group, UCPMA and Mitra Biocoal.
Those present at the rally were Dr Davinder Paul, Dr Kunal Jain, Dr Sumit Jain, Dr Kunal Dhall, Dr Neeraj Bishnoi, Sanjeev Mishra from the institution. Post this rally, Dr Davinder Paul shared his views on how early detection helps in the overall treatment protocol of patient. He added that our Centre use to organise this type of events from time to time that spread awareness in society and will continue to do so in future.
