Rakesh Jain, National Coordinator Environmental Protection delivers lecture at Panjab University
Chandigarh September 16, 2022: Rakesh Jain , National Coordinator Environmental Protection, delivered a lecture at Panjab University and encouraged the students to protect the environment for posterity. He urged everyone to contribute to preserve our environment. He emphasized on the “plantation of plants”, “say no plastics” and “save water” as anyone cannot imagine their lives without these three attributes. He also discussed some tragedies that have happened in India due to the mismanagement of natural sources in last 20 years. Professor GR Chaudhary, Honorary Director Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility, CIL and UCIM, discussed his patented ideas/innovation which are ready to be commercialized. He suggested as to how technologies developed at academic level can be transferred to the industry if scaled up. Prof Vasundhara Singh, from Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, also shared her developed technologies which are eco-friendly and could be commercialized to pharmaceutical industries.
At the end, Prof. Manu, Coordinator, TEC, Panjab University, Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Chairperson, Department of Environment Studies, Prof. Ashu Khosla, Chairperson, Department of Geology and Prof. Gourav Kalotra, Chairperson, Department of Geography expressed their sincere gratitude to Shri Rakesh Jain Ji for his presence and delivering valuable lecture on this sensitive area.Dr. Mahesh Thakur, Dr. Vishwa Singh Bandhu and Dr. Dinesh Kumar were the coordinators of the event. The students from various departments of the Panjab University were present during the event.

Chandigarh: The interview/counselling for the admission to M.Sc. (Medical Physics) first-Year for the session 2022-23 will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10.00 A.M. in the office of the Chairperson, Centre for Medical Physics, Block-III, South campus, Sector-25, P.U., Chandigarh. All the applicants are advised to bring their original certificates, mark sheets and other relevant documents for verification. It is mandatory on the part of the candidate to submit hard copy of the admission form along with self-attested copies of all documents to the centre during/before counselling.
