Ludhiana, September 28, 2021: ‘Recipe Making Contest’ was held on the concluding day of National Nutrition Month, observed during the whole month of September.
A month-long ‘National Nutrition Month’ got concluded today with Recipe Making Contest, which was formally inaugurated by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta along with Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Medical Supdts Dr Ashwani Chaudhary and Dr Sandeep Sharma along with Dietetics -In-charge Ms Shaveta Batta
Judges of the contest were Dr Kiran Grover, Dr Puneet Aulakh Pooni (Professor & HOD Pediaterics) and chief dietician Ms Ruma Singh from CMC Hospital, Ludhiana
Interns in the Department of Dietetics had prepared very nutritious and healthy diet food Sever Acute Malnourished children for showcasing them to the judges, dignitaries and visitors
Throughout National Nutrition, various activities were conducted in the form of quiz competition, inspirational yoga session and distributing of nutritious food items to malnutrition children in various slum areas
In her address, Dietitian Shaveta Batta said that the purpose of conducting a month long National Nutrition Month is to make people aware about adopting healthy lifestyle and be aware of adopting nutritious food habits.
