NATIONAL POLICE SPORTS at Dharamsala from March 18

Dharamsala, March 6, 2013: “Himachal Pradesh State Police is hosting the 61st All India Police Volleyball (cluster) Championship-2013 at Police Ground  Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) from March 18- 22, and about 1,750 sports persons are expected to participate in five days,”said Rakesh Aggarwal DIG Police ( Northern Range) at Dharamsala.

Talking to this Correspondent on Wednesday, Aggarwal said that this event shall have volleyball , basketball, handball and  kabaddi in men’s section only. He said that in this sports event 29 State Police unites of the country and Central Police Organisations will participate. He said that is the last year’s games at Patna 1683 sports persons participated. He said that all the necessary arrangements have been made to mark the event a grand success.

The Championship will be inaugurated by Governor of Himachal at Police Ground in Dharamsala on March 18; where as Chief Minister Vir Bhadra Singh shall be the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
