National Space Day celebrated

The national space day was celebrated in the department of Physics, Panjab University Chandigarh, in order to commemorate the successful landing of Chandrayan 3 Mission on the Moon last year.

Chandigarh, August 23, 2024: The national space day was celebrated in the department of Physics, Panjab University Chandigarh, in order to commemorate the successful landing of Chandrayan 3 Mission on the Moon last year. 

A one day program was organised that consisted of a couple of lectures on space sciences and technology by two subject experts, video film screening of the recent successful launch and landing missions of ISRO, and students activities involving quiz competition and astrophotography displays by students. On this occasion, a special lecture was organised by an internationally renowned X-ray astronomer, professor K.P. Singh from TIFR, Mumbai, presently working in IISER, Mohali. Students from different departments of Panjab University attended the function.
