Jalandhar: Talented former four students of Lovely Professional University (LPU)-Jayant Patnaik, Ajay Tiwari, Amritanshu Dutta and Harshit Shankar have recently been declared First Runner-Up of National  TV Reality Show- ‘India’s Got Talent (IGT)-2023”. They are awarded with Rs 5 Lakh for their exemplary performances appreciated by viewers in the country and abroad. After their win among six-finalists from across the country, they are accorded hearty welcome at the campus.

The winners had a 5 Kms long campus-round amid victory slogans raised by on-looking students & staff members. Fellow students also enjoyed their performances at university’s on-going mega competitive cultural fest-Spectra 2023.

They shared that such vast platforms of cultural wealth at LPU have led them where they are today. For them, reaching LPU campus is indeed a home-coming. Thanking all at LPU who always encouraged and supported them, they shared: “We hold that this all could be possible due to our education and mentoring at LPU, where our hidden talent was identified. Prior to this, LPU also prepared us to reach the Association of Indian Universities (AIU’s) competitions, which are the biggest platforms for students. Participating and winning in India's Got Talent show is indeed a big step.”

Congratulating them, LPU’s Founder Chancellor & MP Rajya Sabha Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal and Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal invoked them to keep on rising in life, and to bring laurels not only to themselves but also to their parents and the university.

In fact, LPU students’ performances always left all emotional with their rhyme and rhythms in each and every episode. Reputed judges and diverse audiences praised their distinguished classical style. Prior to this also, two of these students Ajay & Amritanshu had won accolades at another TV reality show-“Dil Hai Hindustani”.
