National webinar on objective and message of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Bani at KMV

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) & Outlook Magazine organised a national webinar on Objective and Message of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s Bani. The webinar was organised by PG Department of Hindi. The eminent speakers for the webinar was Dr Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor, Central University, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. It is important to mention that scholars & students from all over India participated in this webinar with full zeal & enthusiasm.
Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi in her welcoming address averred that this kind of webinar acquaints our younger generation with the rich cultural heritage of our great nation. She further maintained that the ideals of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji acts as a guiding light for all of us to lead a pious and selfless life. Dr Bedi in his address explained the contribution of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji in India’s social & cultural history. He told that the aspects of salvation, love, sacrifice, universal brotherhood & peace inscribed in Gurbani is much more relevant in today’s world. He also told that the selfless sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji against the forcible religious conversion led to the uprising of Indian society against the tyrant & injustice rule of that period.
