Nauni varsity's Incubation Center gets new facilities
Nauni (Himachal Pradesh), September 9, 2021: Dr. Parvinder Kaushal, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni dedicated the newly developed facilities in the Incubation center to the students and the incubatees. The facilities include a spacious conference hall cum ideation hall. The hall has been equipped with modern furniture with facilities for individual discussion spaces. A computer room has been constructed. The facility will also have modern amenities for the incubates to carry out their work. The center has been developed with the financial support of Rs 70.05 lakh from the Department of Industries.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kaushal said that there is a need to make more people aware of the golden opportunity to join the novel scheme of the government to promote start-ups and entrepreneurship. He said that the university will organize regular programs for the students to motivate them to come up with innovative business ideas and develop the spirit of entrepreneurship among them. He added that the university has been regularly organizing programs and talks by noted alumni and entrepreneurs so that the students look towards becoming job providers.
Dr. Manoj Vaidya, HOD Department of Social Science and Nodal officer of the Incubation centre informed that eight incubatees have passed out from the center under the Chief Minister’s Startup Scheme and the startups of three are in operation. The university’s scientists provide guidance and infrastructure support for bettering the idea of the allotted incubatee and developing it into a product. Five more incubatees have been allotted to the university. Under the scheme, each incubatee is provided a sustenance allowance of Rs 25,000 per month for one year by the Industries department
