Nawanshahr, February 1, 2022: Nawanshahr Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM)-cum-Returning Officer Dr Baljinder Singh Dhillon issued notice to Independent candidate Angad Singh for violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC) at the time of filling nomination on Monday.
Taking note of reports about the large number of supporters accompanied the independent candidate Angad Singh during the filling of nomination papers on Monday, Returning Officer said that it was clear violation of MCC and guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
Further, he mentioned that vehicles were found more than permitted limit and sought complete details of Singh’s convoy and said spending of these vehicles would be added into his expenditure.
Dhillon asked the candidate to submit the reply within stipulated timeframe otherwise action proceedings would be initiated.
