The visit aimed to assess the ongoing training and administrative initiatives empowering the youth through the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Ludhiana: March 26, 2025: Major General JS Cheema, Additional Director General of NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh, visited the NCC Group Headquarters in Ludhiana today. The visit aimed to assess the ongoing training and administrative initiatives empowering the youth through the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

On his arrival, Major General Cheema was accorded an impressive Guard of Honour, demonstrating the high regard and discipline upheld by the cadets. He was given a comprehensive briefing on the various activities being conducted by the group, with a special focus on contemporary training methodologies and initiatives.


Major General Cheema also reviewed the ongoing training and development initiatives at the NCC Training Academy in Malout. He emphasized the need for constant evolution in training practices to meet the demands of the modern era.

In his address, Major General Cheema expressed his appreciation for the unwavering commitment and dedication of all individuals involved in the NCC. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and the critical role of each person in ensuring the continued success and effectiveness of the NCC in empowering the youth of the nation.

On the occasion, Brigadier PS Cheema, the Group Commander of the NCC Group, provided a detailed update on the progress made and future initiatives aimed at strengthening the NCC's impact on youth development. The discussion was attended by all commanding officers, ensuring a collaborative approach to the future of the NCC in the region.
