NCC annual training camp inaugurated at DAVIET by 2 Punjab Battalion
A ten-day NCC Annual Training Camp was inaugurated here at DAVIET campus.
Jalandhar, July 8, 2022: A ten-day NCC Annual Training Camp was inaugurated here at DAVIET campus. The camp has been organised by 2 Punjab Battalion NCC Jalandharand it aims to give exposure to the students about armed forces and instill in them the love for their motherland.
The commanding officer of Punjab Battalion NCC Jalandhar delivered the welcome address. He highlighted the fact that discipline is of paramount importance in everyone’s life. Sans discipline, no man can achieve anything. He motivated the students to give their best during the ten-day camp so that they could learn a lot from the series of lectures and activities scheduled for the camp.
Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, Caretaking Officer NCC DAVIET, welcomed all the participants to the camp. He shared that the nation’s future is in the hands of the youth, and they can surely make India proud. He gave general instructions to be followed and rules to be followed while the participants stayed on campus. He shared how the behaviour pattern of an individual determines who he is, but overall discipline and commitment can transform any individual into a proud nationalist. He also shared that 10 ANOs of different schools and colleges, JCOs, NCOs and PI staff will be running the training camp.
Dr Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET, appreciated the initiative of Dhillon to conduct the training camp on the institute campus. He shared that at DAVIET, everyone believes in the values of discipline, dedication and devotion to one’s cause. He shared his belief that many students who are present today in the training camp will be motivated to join the armed force and serve the nation.
