In a solemn and stirring ceremony, the NCC Cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College paid heartfelt tribute to the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil Conflict on the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Jalandhar, July 26, 2024: In a solemn and stirring ceremony, the NCC Cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College paid heartfelt tribute to the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil Conflict on the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The commemoration, held on the college campus, was marked by an outpouring of respect and patriotism from students, faculty.
Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh gave a message to the cadets and other students that service to the motherland of the country is the greatest service. In Operation Vijay, 545 soldiers gave the supreme sacrifice for the security of the country. 1536 soldiers were injured. Today, 25 years of Kargil victory have been completed. Students and all Indians should take a pledge to contribute their due for the freedom and security of the country. Fulfilling the constitutional obligations enshrined in the constitution is also patriotism.
Vice Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur shared with the students about the situation that arose after the partition of India and Pakistan and said that India has never attacked any country but Indian forces are ready to face any attack.
NCC officer Dr. Karanbir Singh informed the students about the martyrs of Kargil. Under officers Aastha and Ardeep Kaur gave an emotional depiction of the battle through paintings on the board.
Cadets Anshu, Sahil, Simran, Ardeep Kaur shared their views regarding Operation Vijay. Under officers Simran and Lovepreet performed the stage responsibility of this program very well. Dr. Suman Chopra, Dr. Balraj Kaur and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
